Summer Housing

Eligibility

To apply for summer housing, you must be a continuing residential student in good standing with the University and fall into one of the following categories:

  • Be enrolled for Summer Session 2024, or
  • Be enrolled for Autumn Quarter 2024, or
  • Be a graduating senior

If there is more demand than supply for summer housing, priority will be given to students registered for summer classes.

Contract requirement

Summer housing residents are required to contract from June 10, 2024 – September 11th 2024. If you choose to move out of summer housing at any time prior to the end of the Summer Period, you will be responsible for the entire contract fee.

How to apply

Starting April 22, you can access the housing portal via the student menu on Banner or go to 253000xa.com/housingapp. From the welcome page, select “application” in the menu bar to begin.

Application deadlines

If your Summer Housing application is received:

  • By May 15, you will receive your assignment on May 26.
  • After May 15, your application will be processed as space permits.

Student account

If you have an outstanding balance on your student account at the end of the school year, you must receive approval from Student Financial Services before you can be assigned to summer housing. We are unable to make exceptions to this policy, so be sure to provide enough time to work through any financial issues prior to the application deadline.

Location and cost

37 W Dravus, Davis. and Bailey Apt will be utilized for housing in summer 2024 at the following rates:

  • 2-Person Unit: $3,300
  • 4-Person Unit: $2,850

Check-in and check-out dates

Summer Housing residents are able to move in according to the dates below. Check-in and check-out times will be provided by Residence Life when available. It is possible that SPU may change one or more of these dates and times, and you will be notified of any such change. Please plan accordingly, as staff will be available during these time frames only.

  • Summer Housing Check-In: Monday, June 10
  • Summer Housing Check-Out: Wednesday, September 11
  • Autumn Housing Check-In: Thursday, September 26

 

Canceling an application

Cancellation Policy: Cancellations received by June 1 will be charged a $100 cancellation fee. Cancellations received on or after June 1 will result in a charge for the entire summer contract period.

Dining services available Monday–Friday.

  • C-Store: 10 a.m.–5 p.m.
  • Cocina Del Sol: 10 a.m.–3 p.m.
  • Common Grounds: 7:45–11 a.m.
  • Subway: 11 a.m.–7 p.m.
  • Falcon’s Landing: closed

Summer hours begin the Monday after Commencement.
