Education: BA/BS, Seattle Pacific University, 2019; MA, University of California, Los Angeles, 2020; PhD, University of California, Los Angeles, 2023. At SPU since 2022.

Jessica Fossum focuses on quantitative psychology, with interests in research design and data analysis. Her research examines statistical power for mediation, moderation, and conditional process models, with the goal of helping researchers use proper methods and techniques to maximize their available resources. Additionally, Jessica's work explores best practices in methodology through transparent research design and other open science practices.

Teaching motivates her to always keep learning. She is very interested in exploring ways to incorporate active learning strategies to make statistics courses more approachable for psychology students. Additionally, she enjoys teaching research methods and seeing students learn to think critically about the process of designing and conducting their own psychological experiments.
